Important dates for our future IB students

UPDATED! The 1st magnet school application window is November 11 through December 31, 2024.

(Traditionally, all the slots at Williams are filled during this window.)

• • The District Magnet Middle School Expo is Monday, November 4th at Zoo Tampa from 3-7 p.m.
  • Williams Fall Festival is Thursday, November 21, from 4-6 p.m.

• • To make the most of this wonderful family experience, students are expected to attend with a parent or guardian. We will have arts, crafts, games and other fall surprises! Clubs and organizations will have food and drinks for a small fee. Come share the vibe and hang out with our Cougar tribe. Stay tuned for more hints about what to expect!
     
  • There will be two informational sessions held for parents/guardians and students interested in applying for Williams Middle Magnet School held in the Multi-purpose Room at 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. The Magnet Lead and MYP Coordinator, Ms. Kellie Norton, will give an overview of the Middle Years Program and answer questions about the application period. Please come for information and stay for fall fun!

  • Our guided campus tours fill up quickly! If you are unable to visit us or are unable to secure a guided tour, please join us on a virtual tour of the Williams campus.

Interested in applying to be a Williams Magnet Middle School Student for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year? Parents/guardians, if you would like to tour our campus and have any questions regarding the IB  Middle Years Programme, please use the Sign-Up Genius link below to sign up.

School tours are offered by appointment only, are first come, first served, and last approximately 30 minutes. Campus tours will be conducted on Tuesday and Fridays (select dates). If you arrive late, you will need to reschedule. This is for PARENTS ONLY! Once offers are made for the upcoming school year, select dates will be opened for student-shadow days in Spring 2025.

You may contact the Choice/Magnet Office at 813-272-4682 with any questions or concerns regarding the application process or the choice/magnet lottery.

*Currently attending a magnet school for 5th grade? You can skip the lottery on the application and choose Williams as your school for 6th grade. This will be an option on the application that will only show to current magnet students. (This does not apply to students currently at a K-8 school.)
