Deputy Hicks began his career with the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office in 2015 as a patrol deputy assigned to District I. In 2018, Deputy Hicks was assigned to District I Street Crimes Unit. Currently, Deputy Hicks serves as a School Resource Deputy for Riverview High School. Also, he serves as a member of the Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard.

Deputy Hicks is a native Floridian born and raised in Alachua County. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in International Studies from University of South Florida. He proudly serves as an Infantry Platoon Sergeant in the Marine Corps Reserves.
