Dover's PTA is requesting family support by purchasing a PTA membership. The cost is $5. Several backpack/school supply drawings will be provided for each membership purchased. Click here to conveniently join online!

Volunteer Registration

Click here to register as a volunteer with the school district.

As a registered volunteer, parents can participate in on-campus activities, off campus field trips, volunteer in the classroom or in the media center, and for the PTA.

Volunteer Orientation will be held in the media center on August 30 at 8 a.m..

Field Trips

Each grade level will aim to take one field trip this year, if allowed with COVID restrictions. Most field trips will require a fee for transportation and admission. Permission slips for each field trip should be signed and money should be submitted by the due date. Students without signed permission slips/money will be assigned to another classroom for the day of the trip.

Every chaperone must have an eligble active and eligible volunteer application on file with HCPS. Please register at the beginning of the year and at least one month prior to the trip date. This application will remain active in our system through June 30, 2022. 

All applicants are child safety screened through the Sheriff's Office prior to approval.

Students are expected to wear their school shirt on the day of the field trip. This is a good visual for chaperones and for student safety.

Emergency Cards

It is extremely important to always keep your child's emergency card updated throughout the school year with address, phone numbers, and emergency contact information. These cards are used to reach you in an emergency.

Only the people listed on your child's emergency card may check your child out of school using a valid photo ID.

The only person able to make changes to the emergency card is the parent/guardian who signs the emergency card. We will require a valid photo ID to verify a request to make a change to the card.

Dover Elementary School does not accept or provide student information over the phone.

Grades & Report Cards

Parents can follow student progress on Canvas. To sign up for a parent account, make an account at MySpot. Parents log in with their email address; students log in with their student ID numbers.

Report cards and FSA test scores are available online using your MySpot or student login.
