  • Attendance Hotline

    Parent/Guardian MUST call the attendance line before 9:15AM to let the school know of their student's absence. Excused absences are the only way for students to make up missed work. 

    Reporting an absence:​

    Call 813-744-8120 and press 1 for the automated voice system. 

    Leave the following information:​

    1.  The caller's full name and relationship to the student​

    2.  Student's first and last name and grade level​

    3.  Date and reason for absence​

    4,  A phone number where they can be reached​

    ​All students who are absent (excused or unexcused) will receive an automated call home.

    • Canvas Guides have been developed to help students and families easily find grades and averages. The guides are available in both English and Spanish.

     Canvas Parent Accounts - Reminder

    • Canvas Parent (Observer) accounts are created and managed through the district’s ParentVUE portal at: https://www.hillsboroughschools.org/parentvue. If a parent is having issues with their Canvas account, they must contact the District help desk at 813-744-6673.

    Hillsborough County Public Schools is pleased to announce the release of the Canvas Student Guide. Canvas is the District's new learning management system (LMS) and will replace Edsby. A Learning Management System (LMS) simplifies teaching and learning by connecting the digital tools teachers, students, and parents use in one place. This guide has been created for students and includes information about the Canvas Learning Management System and general instructions for using Canvas as a student.
