A Hillsborough County Public School
ALL ABOUT BHS
Brandon Eagles are soaring to academic excellence for students in and around the Brandon area (East of Tampa), by embracing and empowering the whole student. Through our diverse course selections of Advanced Placement (AP), Dual Enrollment (HCC courses), Army JROTC, Band, Chorus, Theater, AVID, and Career and Technical Programs (Child Development, Automotive, Agriculture, NAF Academies of Finance and Information Technology, TV Production, 3D Animation, Entrepreneurship), our students are college and career ready upon graduation. BHS is one of only a few STEM Hub schools in the district which means we collaborate with our feeder elementary and middle schools to promote STEM activities within our school and community. Engaging student organizations such as clubs, extracurricular activities, and sports make a well-rounded and successful Eagle.
HISTORY
Brandon High School originally opened in 1914 on the current site of McLane Middle School. In 1972, the school moved to its current location on Victoria Street. The school colors are maroon and white. The school mascot is the Eagle.

BHS ALMA MATER
Hail to this, our Alma Mater
hail to Brandon High
As the eagle soars to greatness
Neath its wings we fly.
Many you have led to greatness
Through your halls so bright,
Many others still are striving
to attain this height.
Many too have heard the Summons
to the home above,
as they backward look upon you
they recall your love.
As your progress is recorded,
Your fame will never die.
Hail to thee, our Alma Mater,
Hail to Brandon High.
