    Mission

The mission of AVID is to close the opportunity gap and prepare students for college and career readiness in a global society. In the AVID elective, we utilize the W.I.C.O.R. framework—Writing, Inquiry, Collaboration, Organization, and Reading—to enhance students' essential skills and provide them the support necessary to excel in rigorous courses such as HS Honors, AP, AICE, and Dual Enrollment. Being part of the AVID community creates a sense of belonging and empowerment, where students feel motivated and supported by their peers to aim high and achieve their goals.
