• PV Theatre

    PV offers comprehensive Theatre Education in the following areas:

    • Acting & Performance techniques
    • Theatre Appreciation
    • Musical Theatre
    • Lighting & Sound Design 
    • Set Design & Construction
    • Stage Management

     

    Where do we perform?

    Students experience hands-on instruction and experience in all aspects of theatre. We produce shows and showcases throughout the year and provide support for performances in all of our other programs here at PV. Starting in the fall of 2024, we will be performing in our newly renovated $3.5 million, Mainstage Theatre. 

    Outside of school, we have performed for the School Board, the Florida State Junior Thespain festival in Orlando, and the HCPS Magnet Expo. 


    How do students participate? 

    6th: Students have the option to take a full year theatre class, in either discipline. All 6th grade get a sampling of both classes during the Arts Wheel.

    7th/8th- Students can audition/interview for placement in the advanced acting or technical classes (PV Players & PV Tech) or continue building their skills at the intermediate level.
