The spotlight shines on students at Progress Village Middle Magnet School of the Arts—a pillar in the Tampa community. We pride ourselves in offering the largest dance and culinary arts programs in Hillsborough County, and we're routinely a Magnet School of America, School of Distinction. We strive to promote high academic standards through an arts-integrated learning environment. Students sample a range of exciting Electives such as Costume and Fashion Design, Orchestra, Journalism and more, before pursuing the options that best spark their interests. Scholar Quest offerings challenge our students academically while allowing them to earn high school credit. Classmates connect outside the classroom with our sports teams and clubs. Our dedicated staff creates a family-oriented sense of community, starting with our Sixth Grade Structure which helps students feel at home in their new learning environment. At Progress Village, we are Setting the Stage for Success with the Spotlight on You!
Progress Village School has been a pillar of the community since it was built in the mid 1950s. Since then, it has served as an elementary school, a middle school, a 6th grade center, and in the current form, a magnet school for the arts.
