  • The School Counseling department assists and guides students with course selection, class scheduling, educational planning, academic counseling, scholarship information, and personal/social direction.

     

    Students:

    Students who wish to see their counselors are encouraged to contact him or her via Canvas.  Counselors will contact you back via Canvas or will send a pass for you within 24 hours.

    Parents:

    Please call or e-mail your child's counselor to make an appointment.  Your request will be accommodated as soon as possible, but please understand that counselors have other responsibilities that may slightly delay their response.  Thank you for your patience.  You can also contact the School Counseling secretary to make an appointment at (813) 671-5134 Ext 239.

    Office Hours:

    The School Counseling office is open Monday-Friday from 7:30-3:30 P.M.  Registration hours are from 7:30- 11:00 A.M.  Please call 813-671-5134 Ext. 239  with any questions.

    Transcripts:

    Transcripts and graduation verification letters must now be ordered online Hillsborough County Public Schools Records Request.

     

    Class of 2025, Valedictorian, Salutatorian and Rank Freeze

    The issue date on the official grade report or transcript must be on or before Friday, Jan 24, 2025, to count in the class rank calculation. 
    Class rank will be designated on Friday, February 21, 2025. (Rank Freeze) 
     
    Students, it is important to remember that if they are taking virtual courses from HVS or FLVS that all work must be completed by this deadline (on or before Friday, Jan 24, 2025) to count in the class rank calculation. Otherwise, it will be added to semester two after class rank is determined.

    Please note: 

    Students enrolled in magnet programs are ranked separately from students in the traditional program in the same school. 

    • Students enrolled in the magnet programs, who leave their program after the first day of the second semester of their sophomore year, are ranked with their prior magnet program. 
    • Students entering a magnet program for the first time as a junior and return to a traditional program prior to earning first semester credits will be ranked with the traditional program. 

    Juniors that have applied to be an early graduate will not be ranked with the current senior class.
