Our Sixth Grade Structure helps students feel at home in their new learning environment. At Adams, a team effort drives success for every student.

School History

  • John Q. Adams Middle School was named for the 6th United States President whose administration served one term from 1825 to 1829. Adams Middle School was previously a junior high school, serving grades seven through nine, but then converted into a middle school, serving grades 6th, 7th and 8th. The school was dedicated in a dual ceremony on November 9, 1958, recognizing both the junior high and its neighbor, Forest Hills Elementary School.
