Digital Tools Certificates
As we wrap up the successful 2024-25 school year, we are proud to highlight the achievements of our technology students in earning industry-recognized certifications and digital tool certificates.Adobe Certifications- Adobe Certified Professional in Visual Design: 7 students earned this prestigious certification by demonstrating their expertise in visual design through successful completion of both Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator certifications.
- Adobe Certified Professional in Graphic Design & Illustration: 13 students achieved this certification, showcasing their skills in graphic design and illustration using Adobe Illustrator.
ICT Digital Tool Certificates- Cyber Security Essentials: 49 students earned this certificate, reflecting their solid understanding of foundational cybersecurity principles.
- Computing Essentials: 27 students received this certificate, highlighting their proficiency in essential computing skills.
These accomplishments are a testament to our students’ hard work and determination, as well as the unwavering support and guidance of our faculty and staff. We are incredibly proud of their success and confident that these certifications will serve as valuable assets in their future academic and career endeavors.
High School Credit Courses
TBK8 middle school students have the opportunity to earn high school credits through these course offerings:
- Algebra I
- Communication Technology - This course provides a comprehensive overview of the fundamental principles and practices of communication technology. Students will explore various communication mediums, including digital and print. The course covers topics such as the history of communication technology, digital drawing tools, color, typography, and the impact of these technologies on society. Through hands-on projects and theoretical study, students will gain a solid foundation in the tools and techniques used in the field of communication technology.
- Foundations of Gaming & Simulation - This foundational course delves into the game design pipeline, providing students with essential skills to create and market games. Through hands-on projects and theoretical study, students will explore game mechanics, storytelling, sound design, and user experience design. Additionally, the course covers marketing strategies to effectively promote their games in a competitive market. Ideal for aspiring game designers and marketers, this course provides insight and groundwork for careers in the gaming industry.

Advanced Technology Middle School Courses
TBK8 middle school students have the opportunity to learn advanced technology topics through these course offerings:
- Digital Discoveries in Society - This course explores the impact of digital technologies on today's society. Students will examine how digital innovations shape communication, culture, and daily life. Through interactive projects, the course covers topics such as web development, social media, digital privacy, and the ethical implications of emerging technologies. Ideal for those interested in understanding the digital world's influence, this course provides a comprehensive overview of the opportunities and challenges presented by our increasingly connected society.
- Information and Communication Technology - This course provides students with a comprehensive understanding of Information and Communication Technology (ICT). Students will explore various aspects of ICT, including: Cybersecurity, Computer Systems, and Digital Media. Throughout the course, students will develop practical skills and a deeper understanding of how ICT impacts society and the way we share information. By the end of the course, students will be well-prepared to pursue further studies in the ICT field.
