• Hillsborough County Public Schools utilizes a race-neutral weighted lottery process for middle magnet schools via a computer program using parameters such as, but not limited to, geographic destinations, socioeconomic status, and home language with special considerations given to district employees and active duty military families.  

    All students in grades 5 through 7 must apply through the Choice Magnet application window to receive an offer to attend Girls Preparatory Academy.  The application process is simple and requires only three pieces of information: 

    1.  Student ID number

    2.  The last 4 digits of the student's social security number

    3.  The student's year of birth
