    Our Mission Statement

“To motivate young people to be better citizens”

    Our Vision

Providing a quality citizenship, character, and leadership development program while fostering partnerships with communities and educational institutions.

    Leadership Development

This JROTC program is for students attending Armwood High School. The program provides a meaningful leadership laboratory and instruction beneficial for the student’s development.

Cadets are provided the opportunity to develop individual leadership skills and understand the essential leadership concepts for follower-ship. Students are appointed to important leadership positions in the cadet battalion and are monitored and graded on their performance. The JROTC program may be the “leadership basic training” for many of our students prior to the independence that comes after graduating high school, whether it be college, establishing careers, the military, or any other path of life.

    Uniform Every Monday

Grades are based on weekly uniform inspections. We require cadets to wear the JROTC uniform one day (all day) each week for inspection, generally on Tuesday. Cadets must conform to specified standards of haircuts and hairstyles to receive a passing grade on uniform inspections. Male cadets must keep their hair neatly trimmed above the eyebrows and tapered around the sides and back (no bowl cuts or mohawks). When in uniform, female cadets will keep their hair off the shoulders and above the eyebrows. Other than earrings, females and males may not wear any body piercing items at all.
