Monday Message

Our PTSA Step-It-Up Fundraiser is in full swing!  Students were sent home with a packet of information and emails will be sent out throughout the fundraiser with further information.  The fundraiser runs through 1/24/22 and so far, PTSA has raised nearly $25,000 in just the first week! Thank you for your support and continued dedication to Lutz K-8 School.  

Due to the current rise in Covid cases and positivity rate in Hillsborough County, we are asking for your support to help ensure the safety and wellbeing of students and staff at Lutz K-8.  Please perform wellness checks daily with students prior to arriving to school.  If students are exhibiting symptoms, they cannot attend school and should remain home until they are symptom free.  Thank you again for your support.

Class photo day for elementary students will take place tomorrow January 18^th.

This Thursday is college day.  Students and staff are invited to wear their college gear.

Middle school report cards are available for families this Thursday January 20^th.  Elementary report cards are available for families Monday January 24^th. 

This is a reminder that school starts at 7:40 A.M. for students.  We want to ensure students arrive on time and are in class prepared to learn.  If your child happens to be tardy, please ensure you exit your vehicle and walk them to the front office.  This is to ensure student safety as we should not be releasing students from your vehicle without supervision.  Thank you for your attention to this matter. 

If your student is absent from school, thank you for communicating that information to your child’s teacher.  When your child is absent, please remember to contact the school’s attendance line to report your child’s absence.  Also, this is a reminder that school starts at 7:40 A.M.  We want to ensure all students are on time and ready to learn each morning!  If your child is arriving after 7:40 A.M. please be sure you walk your child to the front office doors.      

Middle school parents arriving prior to 2:15 P.M. please follow the elementary pick-up point line.  Please do not park along the grass along the entrance to the school as this creates a safety issue with our afternoon traffic.  Thank you for your assistance with this matter. 

We are asking all parents to adhere to right turns only when exiting onto U.S. Highway 41.  This helps to assist with traffic back-up into the school and will help to ensure a quicker dismissal process.
