Welcome to Collins!
We are happy to have you as a part of our Collins family, and we thank you for your service.
Collins is a Purple Star School of Distinction.
The purpose of the Purple Star School of Distinction Designation is to recognize schools that support the unique needs of military families, help military-connected students navigate critical challenges and provide resources for military-connected students when transitioning to a new school environment.

Collins has a Military and Family Life Counselor named Bea Hilbrands. She is at Collins Monday afternoons and all day on Wendesdays and Thursdays.

Scholarship Database
AmeriCorps VISTA Volunteer, Emily Williams, and U.S. Navy School Liaison, Kristen Ferullo, have created a comprehensive, fully searchable Joint Services Scholarship Database for military dependents.
Taking over 500 hours to compile, this database includes 428 scholarships supporting military spouses, children, and dependents of all service branches. The Portsmouth Naval Shipyard proudly holds the first partnership between the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and AmeriCorps in the area of Military Family Support, bringing this database and future projects to life!
