The Hospital Homebound and Homebased Program of Hillsborough County Schools is designed to provide a quality education for students who are homebound or hospitalized and home based, who have a medically diagnosed physical or psychiatric condition, which is acute or catastrophic in nature, or a chronic illness, or a repeated intermittent illness due to a persisting medical problem. Our teachers use a fluid continuum of services that creates a learning environment for hospitalized/homebound and home-based students to be college, career and community ready for life. 

Before being referred to the Hospital Homebound and Homebased Program, the school and parent should have ruled out keeping the student in school using a 504 plan, using Hillsborough Virtual School or using the Teen Parent programs.
