The Hospitalized/Homebound Program is designed to provide a quality education for students who are homebound or hospitalized and home based, who have a medically diagnosed physical or psychiatric condition, which is acute or catastrophic in nature, or a chronic illness, or a repeated intermittent illness due to a persisting medical problem. Our teachers use a fluid continuum of services that creates a learning environment for hospitalized/homebound and home-based students to be college, career and community ready for life.
Before being referred to the Hospitalized/Homebound Program, the school and parent should have ruled out keeping the student in school using a 504 plan, using Hillsborough Virtual School or using the Teen Parent programs.
