Building Five Star Generals
One Star at a Time
To prepare our students to be productive and informed members of society by building relationships that foster Self-Discipline, Integrity, and Accountability through a culture of Respect
A Welcoming Home, Building Future Leaders
Eisenhower Middle School, home of the Generals, is a diverse, welcoming school, proudly serving students in the Southern parts of Hillsborough County, including the Apollo Beach, Riverview and Gibsonton areas. At Eisenhower, we are "Building 5 Star Generals, One Star at a Time.” Through the 5 Stars of respect, integrity, accountability, relationship building and self-discipline, we prepare our students to lead the way and be successful in life. As a General, students can participate in our Scholar Quest high school credit courses that allow students to earn high school credits in Algebra, Geometry, Science, Culinary Arts, Computer Science, Robotics, and Spanish by the time they leave middle school. Eisenhower also offers AVID college readiness courses to prepare students for college and life. Students can pursue their interests in the elective offerings of 2D/3D Art, Culinary Arts, Chorus, Band, Business Technology, Coding, Spanish, and Robotics based on their passion and interests. Classmates connect through our many sports teams and clubs, including Student Government, National Junior Honors Society, LEGO Robotics, Math League, and many others. Eisenhower uses the Positive Behavior Intervention System (PBIS) to recognize students who exemplify our 5 STARS throughout the school year. Eisenhower also promotes the well-being of the whole student, with a focus on social emotional learning and character education through the Medal of Honor and 7 Mindsets programs. Eisenhower values our military students and families and offers unique supports such as a MFLAC counselor weekly on campus and the Anchor for Life Program. Our dedicated staff creates a family-oriented sense of culture and community, starting with our Sixth Grade Structure, which helps students feel at home and transition well into their new learning environment in middle school. Eisenhower Middle School is dedicated to building 5 STAR Generals who are prepared for life.
In 1957, East Bay High School was built on the current site of Eisenhower Middle School and served grades 7 through 12. In 1972, a new high school was built on the adjacent property for the 10th through 12th grade. Our site was renamed Eisenhower Jr. High School and later Eisenhower Middle School in honor of General Dwight D. Eisenhower, 34th President of the United States.
