A Welcoming Home, Building Future Leaders

  • Eisenhower Middle is a diverse, welcoming school, serving students in the Apollo Beach, Riverview and Gibsonton areas. Our Scholar Quest high school credit courses challenge students in Math and Science Honors, Culinary, Computer Science, Spanish and AVID college readiness. Through Electives, our students sample a range of courses—Visual Arts, Chorus, Culinary Arts and more—then pursue options that best spark their interests. Classmates connect through our many sports teams and clubs. Our dedicated staff creates a family-oriented sense of culture and community, starting with our Sixth Grade Structure, which helps students feel at home in their new learning environment. At Eisenhower, we are "Building 5 Star Generals, One Star at a Time” through the 5 Stars we instill in our future leaders: respect, integrity, accountability, relationship building and self-discipline.

School History

  • In 1957, East Bay High School was built on the current site of Eisenhower Middle School and served grades 7 through 12. In 1972, a new high school was built on the adjacent property for the 10th through 12th grade. Our site was renamed Eisenhower Jr. High School and later Eisenhower Middle School in honor of General Dwight D. Eisenhower, 34th President of the United States.

    • Eisenhower serves the communities of Riverview, Gibsonton, and Apollo Beach.
    • The school enrolls sixth through eighth graders.
    • In addition, Eisenhower services elementary through high school exceptional education students needing center based instruction.
    • The community and businesses surrounding Eisenhower are highly supportive and involved with the school.
