We congratulate Ms. Rebecca Black (left) on her promotion to Colson Elementary Principal, effective June 7, 2022.  Ms. Black is originally from Rochester, New York and began her teaching career in Hillsborough County. After Ms. Black earned her master’s degree at the University of South Florida, she moved to Ocala to design professional development for elementary teachers. For the past four years, Ms. Black had worked as an Assistant Principal in Marion County before beginning her new role as Colson's Assistant Principal in January 2022.  Please join our faculty and staff as we recognize the well-deserved promotion of Ms. Black as Colson Elementary School's new Principal.

Dr. Woodfork (right) began her teaching career in Arkansas. She earned higher education degrees from the University of West Florida and Baylor University. For the past three years, Dr. Woodfork worked as a district literacy coach in Polk and Hillsborough Counties. We are very pleased to welcome Dr. Woodfork as Colson Elementary’s new Assistant Principal.
