Magnet Bus Transportation Information
OG Parents of Bus Riders,
The Transportation Office has been sending bus stop information and such to families through email.
Students riding magnet buses will receive a decorative wristband on the ramps that connect them with the bus that brings them from home to the ramp and from the ramp to their home.
Transportation will send ParentLinks to families for buses that may be running exceptionally late the first few days of school.
Students MUST have a printed bus pass; this accounts primarily for the students who do not ride the bus in the morning and were dropped off instead OR students who accept an offer in this final round of offers. If you need a printed bus pass, please come to Premier Night/Open House and get one in the media center.
From Magnet Transportation
We ask for your patience as we ensure the safety of your student
Please consider the following in these first few days of school:
- In order to teach students transportation routines and keep all students safe, please understand that buses MAY run late 45 minutes or more during the first week.
- Please allow your student to come home from school the same way he/she went to school during this first week, IF POSSIBLE, so your student can get used to transportation procedures and to minimize any confusion; this also helps the school and the district plan.
- Please ensure BEFORE the start of the school year that any bus stop and contact information is updated with the school.
- Please send your student to school with EXTRA water in case his or her bus ride is delayed or lengthened.
- Please ensure that your student is aware that his/her bus ride may be slightly longer than usual for these first few days.
