Welcome Back, Lennard family!
I hope you all had a wonderful summer and are excited for the upcoming new school year! We are very excited to have all our Longhorns back on campus.
Please plan to join us for our Open House for all students tomorrow, Monday, August 8, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. For all 9th graders and those new to Lennard High School, we will have a New Student Orientation Meeting at 3:30 pm in the auditorium before Open House begins at 4:00 pm. All students will receive their schedules in their homeroom at 4:00 pm. During Open House, please stop by the cafeteria to find out about our many clubs and organizations in which you and your students can become involved. After Open House, at 6:00 pm, there will be a Collegiate Academy meeting in the auditorium. All students in our Collegiate Academy and their parents are encouraged to attend.
Congratulations to our PTSA! Our PTSA has just received the School of Excellence Award! We hope you will join this amazing group of parents, teachers and students who contribute so much to the success of our school. There will be a table set up in the cafeteria during Open House so you can find out more information about our PTSA and how you can join. We hope to see everyone tomorrow evening!
All students return to school this Wednesday, August 10. Student hours for this school year are 8:40 am to 3:40 pm. The hours for Early Release Mondays are 8:40 am to 2:40 pm. All school gates will remain locked until 8:10 am. At 8:10 am, the buses will release students on the bus ramp, and the Student Affairs gate located off the Student Parking Lot will be opened. To keep minimal access to our campus, we will have only these two gates open for students to enter the campus. Breakfast and lunch are free for all students this school year again at Lennard High School.
All students will report to homeroom first on Wednesday, August 10. Students will receive another copy of their schedule and the first day packet to bring home. Please review the first day packet information very carefully and return all completed documents with your child this week. The information is critical to have on campus as quickly as possible.
This is the first of many Longhorn Weekly Parent Links to come on Sunday evenings. I hope this helps to communicate everything you need to know to share your child’s educational journey with us. I wish all of you a very successful 2022-2023 school year!
I hope you have a great week! Go Longhorns!
