HCPS Family and Community Engagement (F.A.C.E.)

• Our Mission

  To be the lead resource for family and community engagement on behalf of Hillsborough County Public Schools.

  Our Overarching Goal 

  The Department of Family and Community Engagement is designed to develop strong, innovative and collaborative relationships in support of overall school improvement. 

  Our Strategic Priorities

  #1 - School-Based Capacity Building
  Build the capacity to engage and work with schools, families and the community through training, technical assistance, public awareness and information management. 

  #2 - Family Capacity Building 
  Develop pathways to build and strengthen each family’s capacity to engage in their child’s education at home and school, through training and culturally responsive support.  

  #3 - Student Mentoring and Leadership
  Establish, promote, provide guidance and support, for student mentorship and leadership programs within our schools. 

  #4 - Collaboration
  Cultivate partnerships and increase educational support through community resources, collaboration, and in-kind donations.

Out of Field Teachers/FTE Verification

All educators in Florida are monitored to ensure they meet certification and training requirements as mandated by law. When a teacher is assigned teaching duties out of the field in which the teacher is certified, the parents of all students in the class are notified.
