SLAM SHOWCASE

SCHOOL WIDE INCENTIVE PROGRAM

GRADES 3 THROUGH 8
- Students read SLAM books throughout the year and in May they are rewarded for the books they have read.
- Read 5—Freezy Pop
- Read 10—Ice Cream
- Read 15—Pizza & Soda
and/or
- Students participate in SLAM by doing a 2D, 3D, or digital/video project to be presented at Night at the Literacy Museum on Wednesday, January 29, 2025. Winners go to the SLAM Showcase at the Convention Center on March 5, 2024.

Media Center Specialist - Mrs. Sally Long

Sally Long is a Florida educator with 27 years of experience. She attended the University of Miami and received a Bachelor of Music in Music Media & Industry and then her Master of Music in vocal performance. She taught general music, chorus, and theater for 16 years and has now been a Media Specialist for 14 years. She loves to help spark the love of reading for students and collaborating with teachers, while infusing music and drama as often as she can!!
