• Florida high school students are eligible for Bright Futures scholarships to cover 75% or 100% of public college tuition as long as they meet several requirements. For both types of scholarship awards, students must complete and document 100 hours of volunteer or paid work experience. For both awards students also must earn 4 English credits, 4 Math credits, 3 Social Science credits, 3 Science credits (2 with substanstial lab work), and 2 World Language credits. 

    The Florida Medallion Scholars (FMS) award covers 75% of tuition and requires a minimum GPA of 3.0 and a minimum ACT score of 25 or a minimum SAT score of 1210. 

    The Florida Academic Scholars (FAS) award covers 100% of tuition and requires a minimum GPA of 3.5 and a minimum ACT score of 29 or a minimum SAT score of 1340.
