Empowering Game-Changers

  • In the heart of historic Seminole Heights, Memorial Middle is changing the game, offering a diverse and academically driven learning environment. Through community partnerships, students are empowered by working with mentors and exploring different career paths. With Electives, our students sample a range of exciting courses—Robotics, Art, Drama, AVID college readiness and Band—then pursue the options that best spark their interests. Classmates connect through our many sports teams and clubs. Through Scholar Quest, students can earn high school credit. Memorial’s free After School All Star Program (ASAS) helps students focus on academic achievement and active, healthy lifestyles. We are proudly a Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports school. Our family-oriented staff creates a sense of culture and community, starting with our Sixth Grade Structure, helping students feel at home in their new learning environment. Memorial Middle, creating a community of game-changers in Seminole Heights.

School History

  • Photo of Memorial Middle School Memorial Middle School is in the heart of historic Seminole Heights near busy downtown Tampa. It was first build in 1925. The school underwent a number of changes through the years, first as a junior high school, then as an adult education center, and finally as a middle school. It was renovated in 1999-2000, and re-dedicated on March 31, 2001 as Memorial Middle School. In 2007/08 a major landscaping project was completed. It included a marble Memorial monument that was given to the school by parents of one of our students.
