Everyone learns everyday.
Our staff and fifth graders have been welcomed into one of four houses:
Our students have weekly house meetings and learn about their house's heritage, chants, heroes, character traits, etc.
In addition, students will be able to earn points for their houses for daily punctuality, preparedness, and participation.
The winner of this competition for the year will have the 5th grade banquet decorated in their house color.
Frank D. Miles Elementary school was built in 1962 and is named after Frank D. Miles, a former teacher at the school. Mr. Miles worked for Hillsborough County Public Schools for 30 years and was the district's Education Director when he died in 1959. The Miles' mascot is the mustang horse, and its colors are blue and gold.
