Forest Hills Elementary opened in 1958, as a school for grades 1-6. Throughout the years, there have been many changes. Some of the older structures were torn down and new ones built. During the early 1990s, the 2-story building and multipurpose room buildings were constructed. In 2002, after raising money for 5 years, a new primary/intermediate playground was built. In 2006, our newest building (located on the north end of our campus) was built and currently houses our 1st and 2nd grade students.

Forest Hills' mascot for the first 60 years, was the Brave. There was a Totem Pole installed in the front of the school 1991. In May 2019, the students and families of Forest Hills voted the Panther as the school's new mascot. #PantherPride

Since the day it opened, the school has become more diverse in student population, faculty/staff population, and even more capable of meeting the needs of the students that it serves.
