School History

  • When Mr. & Mrs. R.W. Trapnell moved into this community in January of 1900, a school did not exist. But in 1901, there were five school-aged children who Mrs. Rose D. Trapnell taught in her own home. The school continued to grow as the number of students grew. Children were needed during the "strawberry season" to help with the family crops. Trapnell was then known as a summer "Strawberry School". A photo of Mrs. Rose D. Trapnell is presently located in our Administration office.

Trapnell School is very proud of its accomplishments and considers itself to be a "family" school. We would like to thank all of the local businesses who have supported us throughout the years. Without your support and the support of our PTA Board and members, our little "Strawberry School" would not be the educational institution it has become today.

It is an honor to educate your children.
