• Scholarship Information and Opportunities

     

    • Scholarship opportunities are provided to all Hillsborough County Public School students. Please carefully read each application and submit required information within the deadline indicated. Most of the scholarships listed below are targeted for 12th grade students. If you have any questions regarding a scholarship, please see your College and Career Counselor.

    Scholarship Opportunities

      • Scholarship Matrix (Changes Monthly)
        • The HCPS Scholarship Matrix provides a monthly view of available scholarships for HCPS Students. The matrix is updated monthly to reflect new opportunities.
      • Hillsborough Education Foundation Scholarship Opportunities
        • The Hillsborough Education Foundation works closely with donors to provide the right scholarship opportunities to deserving students. 8th graders can apply to participate in the mentoring program which includes a Florida Prepaid Scholarship upon completion of the program requirements at high school graduation. Students can apply during the spring of their 8th grade year and participate in an interview process for selection. Additionally, 12th graders can apply for scholarships for their freshman year of college, the Senior Scholarship Application is tentatively scheduled to open in October of 2024. 
      • Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program
        • The Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program establishes three lottery-funded scholarships to reward Florida high school graduates for high academic achievement.
      • Xello
        • Students in grades 9-12 have access to a robust national and local scholarship database through Xello. Students can access their Xello accounts through the HCPS Hub located in Clever.

    2025–26 FAFSA® Form Coming Soon

     The 2025–26 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) form will be available to the public on or before Dec. 1, 2024.

    Between Oct. 1 and Dec. 1, the 2025–26 FAFSA form will be available to individuals selected to participate in a limited beta release. Participation in the beta release is by invitation only.

    Why We’re Doing a Beta Release

    A “beta” is an early release of a technology product, such as the 2025–26 FAFSA form. Beta releases make new products available to a limited number of users before releasing them to the public. Adopting this practice will enable us to find and resolve the kinds of errors that could derail the FAFSA completion process for students and their families.

    How To Prepare for the 2025–26 FAFSA® Form

    Prepare now so you can complete the 2025–26 FAFSA form as soon as it’s available on or before Dec. 1, 2024. Here are some ways you can get ready:

    Stay Informed

    Stay informed about 2025–26 FAFSA changes and receive up-to-date notifications and information:

    • Follow Federal Student Aid on social media for resources and announcements.
    • We’ll email students (and parents of dependent students) who applied on the 2024–25 form, reminding them to apply for 2025–26. To ensure you receive updates, log in to your StudentAid.gov account and confirm we have your current email address.
