This year’s Destination FAMU event marked our fifth year, with more than 300 students from 18 high schools participating. FAMU has awarded millions in scholarships to HCPS graduates over the years, and events like this continue to inspire future leaders and expand access to post-secondary pathways.

THE EXPLORERS AND SCIENTISTS OF TOMORROW 🚀🔭 Congratulations to the students inducted into Stewart Middle Magnet School's John Glenn Top Gun Academy, the school’s honor society for Aerospace and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics).
During the ceremony, students learned about local aviation history, created postcards which will be sent to space, and met retired astronaut Nicole Stott and Blue Origin Engineer Caesar Chukrallah. 🌌










Armwood rolled to a 43–0 win over Melbourne, while Tampa Bay Tech secured a 47–6 victory against Sebring. Sumner, Gaither, and Jefferson will join Armwood and TBT in next Friday night’s region semifinals. 🏈🔥
The Hillsborough Council of Teachers of Mathematics (HCTM) held the annual Math Bowl this week! Students from Grades 3 through 5 participated in the competition, working in teams to solve eight math questions. 📝🏆










Students will showcase their talents in parades and concerts throughout historic plazas in and around Rome. During the trip, they’ll also explore iconic sites such as the Colosseum, Pompeii, and Vatican City.
