We’re proud to celebrate district-wide growth in academic achievement with the release of the 2024-2025 school grades! Not only did we see an overall increase in the number of A and B schools, but two schools even jumped two full letter grades, from a C to an A. These grades reflect the hard work of our students, teachers, staff, and school communities across the district. Congratulations, HCPS Family! Let’s keep the momentum going!

Hillsborough High School hosted an exciting baseball game against Sickles. The stands were filled with family and friends, all there to support our Terriers.
From the first pitch, the energy on the field was immense. Every play showed the team’s hard work. The support and guidance of the coaches, helped players to stay focused and play with a feeling of confidence.
“We are trying really hard; we are pushing forward. We have a lot of young players, and many of them are showing impressive progress,” Coach Allegre said.
Even though the game was challenging, our Terriers’ unwavering spirit was shone through every play.
“This game is very intense, but everyone is doing great,” sophomore Evan Isaac said.
At the end of the night, the game ended with a 4-11 loss. Although the Terriers may not have taken the win, their determination and teamwork will continue to grow with every game.
Last Friday, Hillsborough's Student Government Association hosted the first Student vs. Teacher dodgeball game. In the end, the students of the pink team won against the teachers.
There was only one teacher team, so before the students could face off against the teachers, they had to battle each other first. There were four student teams: Red, White, Pink, and Blue. First, the first two teams battled each other, with the pink team coming out on top. The second two teams then played, with the red team emerging victorious. The two teams then battled each other. This game was to determine who would go to the game against the teachers, so tensions were high. In the end, the pink team won and fought the teachers.
Each team got ready to face off in a battle that would result in one team getting pied in the face. Both teams were very confident that they would win, but in the end, the students won and found their favorite teacher to throw a pie at.
"I really thought we were going to win," Ms. Sleeter said while reflecting on the game.
After the game, the winners posed for a picture and were overjoyed with the result of the tournament. It is safe to say that this event was a hit.
