Coach Lucas, an educator at Ferrell Girls Preparatory Academy, was recently at Best Buy where she filled out a survey while leaving the store.
Then THIS happened! She was notified that Intel and Best Buy were awarding Ferrell Girls Prep with $10,000!
Principal Eric Turner says Ferrell plans to use the money to provide resources for the Physical Education program and to build the staff a Wellness Room at the school!
We have the most amazing staff, who are always thinking about how to make their schools even better!
🎈 Lincoln Elementary Magnet School held its Kindergarten Balloon Showcase and Parade, where 5th grade students helped kindergarteners design and decorate balloons inspired by aThanksgiving Day Parade. They showed off their creations to families and then paraded through the school to celebrate this fun tradition. 🎈🎈

This year’s Destination FAMU event marked our fifth year, with more than 300 students from 18 high schools participating. FAMU has awarded millions in scholarships to HCPS graduates over the years, and events like this continue to inspire future leaders and expand access to post-secondary pathways.
