Did you know that 80 HCPS seniors were recently named Semifinalists in the 2026 National Merit Scholarship Program? Strawberry Crest High School had 28 of those students, which is the most of any public school in Florida.
These students now join nearly 16,000 other Semifinalists, representing less than 1% of high school seniors nationwide. They have the chance to advance to the Finalist level, with the opportunity to earn nearly $26 million in scholarships.
Congratulations to our students, especially this incredible group of Chargers! We are so proud of your dedication, perseverance, and academic excellence.

READY, SET, PLAY! 🤩 Our Citrus Park Elementary Eagles are enjoying a brand-new playground, thanks to the half-penny sales tax referendum passed in November 2018.
Playgrounds are just one of the many upgrades made possible by this funding. Other projects include new air conditioners, interior and exterior painting, enhanced safety and security systems, and more.
Since the referendum began, HCPS has completed nearly 900 projects district-wide, totaling more than $1.06 billion in improvements.
