Today, we celebrated the grand opening of our district’s 29th high school, Aquilla J. Morgan High School, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
This state-of-the-art campus, located in Wimauma, honors a beloved and long-serving educator.
We can’t wait to welcome the school's inaugural students on Monday, August 11.
Dr. Jones has proudly served Hillsborough County Public Schools for the past 28 years. He began his career teaching social studies and coaching at Buchanan Middle and Gaither High, where he later became an assistant principal.
In 2008, he joined Hillsborough High as an AP, then went on to serve as principal of Walker Middle in 2011 and Sligh Middle in 2018. Most recently, he led Coleman Middle as principal starting in 2023.
Congratulations, Dr. Jones! Our Martinez Mustangs are ready to welcome you into the herd.
Allison began her journey with HCPS in 2014 as a reading and English teacher at Spoto and Riverview High Schools. In 2019, she served as Dean of Discipline at Parrish Community High School in Manatee County. She returned to HCPS in 2022 as the APC at Sumner High School, and in 2023, she joined Brandon High as its APC.
We can’t wait to see you soar as the leader of our Brandon Eagles, Allison!
