Tampa, Fla. – (March 27, 2024) – Hillsborough County Public Schools will honor our winter sports student athletes for individual awards and team GPA awards, tomorrow, Thursday, March 28, at 10:00 a.m.
Superintendent Van Ayres and School Board members will join student athletes and their families in the School Board auditorium located at 901 E. Kennedy Blvd., as we honor those students who have earned awards from our winter sports.
The awards will include the Dottie McGahagin Award, presented to the outstanding girls basketball player of the year; the Alston “Mac” McGahagin Award, presented to the outstanding boys basketball player of the year; and the Williamson-Snapp Award to the outstanding cheerleader of the year.
