Tampa, Fl. (April 3, 2023) – Veteran journalist and communications professional Jennifer Holton is joining Hillsborough County Public Schools as the Director of Media and Public Relations. Jennifer’s first day is Monday, April 3.
Jennifer will oversee day-to-day communications with media representatives to share the innovative programs in our schools and the positive stories occurring in our classrooms every day.
Before joining HCPS, Jennifer was a reporter/anchor at WTVT-Fox13 in Tampa, covering breaking news as well as in-depth stories with state and national political and community leaders. Prior to Fox13, she was a reporter at WJHG-WECP in Panama City Beach.
Jennifer has won numerous awards for her reporting and was honored by the World War II International Film Festival in Normandy, France for her documentary work on the film Finding Sconiers. She also was honored with a Series Franchise Reporting award for her work covering the September 11th military commissions in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
