Tampa, Fl. (February 16, 2023) – Florida is one of the top three states in the nation in reported cases of human trafficking every year. On Monday, February 20, from 6-7 p.m., Hillsborough County Public Schools' Human Trafficking Taskforce will hold a S.O.S. - Student Online Safety Town Hall meeting to educate students and families about this important issue.
The media is invited to school district headquarters at 901 E. Kennedy Blvd. for the panel discussion. Prior to the discussion, local organizations fighting against Human Trafficking will have tables set up in the lobby with materials and information to share.
The HCPS Human Trafficking Taskforce, led by School Board Member Lynn Gray, helps to raise awareness for our district's fight against Human Trafficking.
The S.O.S. Town Hall panel will include representatives from The No More Foundation, Hillsborough PTA, HCSO, Paving the Way Foundation, as well as survivors of Human Trafficking.
