Tampa, Fl. (September 16, 2022) – The National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) announced the names of over 16,000 Semifinalists in the 68th Annual National Merit Scholarship Program, and 98 of those students are from Hillsborough County Public Schools. These academically talented high school seniors will now move on to compete for 7,250 National Merit Scholarships worth nearly $28 million.
The Semifinalists represent 18 different high schools in the district. Strawberry Crest High School leads the way with 18 Semifinalists. Plant and Robinson High Schools both have 11 students awarded at each school. Middleton and King High schools have 10 Semifinalists each. Below is a full list of Semifinalists:
