We're excited to kick off Literacy Week with our Vocabulary Parade on Monday, January 26.
All students in PreK-5th grade will participate during the regular school day. Please note: this is a closed campus event; we encourage you to take photos at home before students come to school.
What is the Vocabulary Parade? Students choose a word, create a simple costume to represent it, and proudly show their vocabulary knowledge as we celebrate reading and language. Use the attached pictures for more detailed information. A paper copy will be coming home as well tomorrow or Tuesday, Jan. 20th.
Remember there is no school on Monday, Jan. 19th due to MLK Jr. Day.
Thank you for supporting our readers and for helping make the Vocabulary Parade a fun, learning-filled start to Literacy Week!
