Below are the basic supplies requested by our core academic teachers (Reading, Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies). Teachers may request a few additional class-specific items during Open House or the first week of school.

Supplies Every Student Should Have

• Pencils and erasers

• Blue or black pens

• Colored pencils

• Highlighters (yellow, blue, or green)

• Glue sticks

• Scissors

• Ruler

• Loose-leaf notebook paper (wide ruled)

• Index cards

• Two-pocket folders with prongs

• Dry erase markers and a small eraser

• Pencil pouch

• Refillable water bottle

• Plug-in headphones (no Bluetooth)

• Calculator (see grade level supplies below for specific model)

Grade-Level Supplies

6th Grade

• One 1½-inch Clear View binder

• One 8-tab divider set

• Two 1-subject spiral notebooks for Science

• TI-108 Calculator

7th & 8th Grade

• Two college-ruled, 100-page notebooks for Math

• TI-30Xa Calculator

Reading

All students taking reading (6th Graders and some 7th & 8th Graders) should have one composition notebook.

P.E.

• PE Uniform Shirt ($15) – Purchase through MyPaymentsPlus or with cash

• Blue athletic shorts

• Athletic shoes

Planners

Students may use a weekly planner if they choose, it is not required.

Davidsen students will primarily use Canvas To-Do List and the Canvas Calendar to stay organized.

Planners will not be sold at school.
