Literacy at HCPS
-
At Hillsborough County Public Schools, we are excited about our commitment to excellence, especially in cultivating strong literacy skills for every student. That's why we're proud to introduce Hillsborough Reads, a fantastic initiative aimed at helping our students reach their reading potential.
Reading is an essential skill that begins at birth and flourishes throughout our education, enhancing our critical thinking abilities. Our inspiring theme, “Get Caught Reading,” invites students, families, staff, and the community to unite in celebrating the joy of reading. There are countless ways to get involved with Hillsborough Reads—let’s embark on this wonderful journey together!

More than 30 teams, clubs, and organizations from Freedom High created engaging, educational games to inspire young minds. At the end of the event, each Tampa Palms student went home with a free book to continue their learning journey! #HillsboroughReads
