Happy teacher appreciation week! This week we celebrate the all the things big and small that our staff does every day for our students and community. AP testing begins this week. Remember attendance is critical as we go into the final weeks of the school year.



Wharton is partnering with Feeding Tampa Bay and Bay Chapel to host a food pantry on campus. Students are able to shop for fresh produce, milk, meat, eggs, and dry groceries for themselves and their families. Open 2 days a week, 5th to 7th periods. See Ms. Fischer for details.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Every student deserves to feel seen, supported, and valued. All month long, we’ll share simple ways to support emotional well‑being for students, families, and staff.

Summer 2026 Drivers Education program registration is now open!
Students ages 15–18 with a valid Florida learner’s license can register for a two-week session at one of seven high school locations. The program cost is $300.
Spots are limited, and are first-come, first-served!

Congratulations to three of our seniors for creating winning "I Voted" sticker designs as part of the Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections Office Vote Hillsborough art contest!

The designs will be reproduced as a 2" by 2" round sticker and given to voters who vote early or drop off their mail ballot during the two weeks leading up to Election Day for the 2026 Primary and General Elections.
Each student will also receive a prize from this year's sponsors Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and The Florida Aquarium.

Participants will earn volunteer service hours and may qualify for the New Worlds Scholar award from the Florida Department of Education.

Congratulations to Eshan Aglave from Lincoln Elementary School and Megan Richards from Wharton High School on being named the Drinking Water Award winners at this year’s Hillsborough County STEM Fair! 🎉
They recently had the opportunity to meet Tampa Mayor Jane Castor, who congratulated them on receiving this award, which honors projects focused on water conservation and real-world solutions to protect and manage our water resources.
