Families looking for a high-quality early learning program for their child can apply for HCPS Head Start beginning July 27. Head Start is a federally funded program that provides comprehensive child development services to eligible children ages 3 and 4, helping them prepare for success in school and beyond.
The program offers full-day prekindergarten classes that follow the schedule and calendar of participating Hillsborough County Public Schools elementary schools. Classrooms are staffed by a Florida-certified teacher and a teacher's aide, creating a supportive environment that promotes each child's academic, social, emotional, and physical development.
