Principal's Welcome Back Letter 25 - 26

Welcome Back from Mrs. Savino, Principal

Dear Longhorn Community,

Welcome to the 2025-2026 school year! I am thrilled to share some wonderful news with

all of you. Our school has made a significant leap in our academic performance, moving

from a school grade of C to a B! This achievement is a testament to the hard work,

dedication, and collaboration of our entire school community. As your principal, I am

extremely proud of my students and staff and the work we continue to do on this

campus.

If you are new to Lennard, we are so excited to welcome you to our Longhorn family!

At Lennard High School, we are committed to establishing a school culture conducive

to all students excelling in the classroom as well as in their extracurricular activities.

It is our goal for all students who enter Lennard High School to be College and Career

Ready and prepared to graduate with their cohort.

Communication both to and from school is critical to the success of our students. We

will continue to use our district’s communication system, Canvas, Focus, and our

school’s website to share information with our students and their families. New this

year, we will be sending a newsletter called The Lennard Roundup on Sunday evenings

to inform all our families of our important updates for the upcoming week. The

district’s automated phone messaging system will use the number you have listed with

the school district as your home number. I will be sending the first message on Sunday

evening, August 10, at 6:30 pm. At that time, you will also receive our new Lennard

Roundup newsletter.

We are very excited to work together with all our parents/guardians to ensure that

each of our students thrive and succeed at Lennard High School. We welcome all of you

to get involved by joining our PTSA, School Advisory Committee, our many Booster

Clubs, and by volunteering at our events. We are a Title 1 School in which we receive

much support from the state. Please get involved and come to our PTSA and SAC

meetings so your voices can be heard in the decision-making process. There are so many

ways to get involved; we hope you can find the time. I encourage all of you to get

involved in your child’s education so together we can celebrate his/her success!

My administration team, faculty, and staff are excited to welcome all of you to another

school year! If you have any questions or need assistance at any time, please contact

me or my staff at 813.641.5611. We look forward to working with all of you as your

children embark on another year in their educational journey.

Kind Regards,

Mrs. D. Savino

Principal
