Hillsborough County Public Schools is proud to celebrate AVID Day, joining schools nationwide in recognizing the power of education and opportunity!
Through AVID, students gain more than academic support. They build lifelong skills like critical thinking, collaboration, and goal-setting that prepare them for success in college, careers, and beyond.
In HCPS, AVID is offered at 86 schools and across all grade levels, serving more than 10,000 students. Rampello K-8 continues to be recognized as one of just 200 AVID National Demonstration Schools in the country.
And the results speak for themselves! The Class of 2025 AVID seniors achieved a 100% graduation rate, with 92% completing 4-year college requirements. Our middle school AVID students also excelled academically, with 47% completing at least one high school-level course other than math, and 94% participated in the Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test (PSAT).
AVID continues to open doors, set high expectations, and prepare our students for bright futures!
