Congratulations Alonso Ravens for finishing in first place at the HCSO Battle of the Belts for safety belt compliance! 100% of our students wear their seat belts! Thank you to the Alonso Leadership program for their efforts with this year's Battle of the Belts competition!

Three of our Ravens received awards and recognition in the National Scholastic Arts and Writing Competition this year. They are Adia Iorio who won a Gold Key which is the highest award for her ceramics work and Arielle Camp and Allie Lewis who both received Honorable Mention! Congratulations to our three talented artists!

Today, we recognized several of our high school students at the 2026 Battle of the Belts Seat Belt Safety Campaign Awards Ceremony, hosted at Freedom High School! This annual initiative promotes seat belt use and safe driving habits among teens.

This year, 25 high school Student Government Association groups competed in categories including Highest Overall Seat Belt Compliance, Most Improved Seat Belt Compliance, Best Poster, Best Public Service Announcement, and Best Overall Seat Belt Campaign. Thank you to all of our participants and partners, including the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office and GEICO, and congratulations to our winners!

MARK YOUR CALENDARS! 🗓️ It's almost time for Family Day at the Florida State Fair! Friday, February 13, is a non-student day of school.

Youth ages 17 and under will receive free admission to the fair until 5 p.m. with an admission-paying parent or guardian 21 or older.

While you're at the fair, be sure to stop by the Florida Center and check out the HCPS exhibit area! We'll also have many schools and students showing livestock in the barns. Please stop by and cheer them on!

Congratulations to the AHS Ascent Gold Team for finishing in first place this weekend at the FFCC National Premier competition! That is two first places finishes for both Ascent teams in two weeks! Way to go Ravens!

Congratulations to Alonso Cheer for winning the Class 2A small non tumbling State Title this evening in Lakeland! Their talent, dedication, and perseverance were all on display tonight! So proud of our Ravens!

Come out and support your AHS Girls Soccer team as they take on Plant High School Thursday, January 22 at 7pm at Alonso. The winner becomes the FHSAA Class 7A District 11 Champion! Let's go Ravens!
