Schedule Change Request Procedures

Welcome back to the 22-23 school year! We know everyone is excited to start school and are anxious about their schedules. Here are the procedures for schedule change requests:

Counselors will be available in the cafeteria during all but the Freshman schedule pick-up times.

The schedule pick-up times are as follows:

Seniors Thursday, 8/4 from 8-10

Juniors Thursday, 8/4 from 12:30-2:30

Sophomores Friday, 8/5 from 8-10

Freshman Friday, 8/5 from 12:30-2:30

Problems, such as missing periods or missing courses, will be addressed on the first day of school (8/10) ONLY during the period as it occurs on the student's schedule. Students should report to the media center during the period with which they have the issue on their schedule and not before. Elective changes will not be addressed at this time.

Elective schedule requests will be addressed during all three lunches just outside the cafeteria on Thursday 8/11 and Friday 8/12. Seniors will have first priority.

Students with special circumstances, such as dual enrollment not reflected on their schedule, should message their counselors via Canvas with an explanation of the change they need and why and include copy of HCC schedule (if applicable). ALL students must have complete schedules with seven classes and a lunch period. **

Students requesting a virtual placeholder must be enrolled in the virtual course and have at least 25% of the course completed by August 10th. Courses required for graduation will be approved for virtual placeholders on a case-by-case basis. We are looking forward to welcoming you back on Wednesday August 10th!
