Co-Curricular Event Guidelines - Update
We are excited to announce that we will return to indoor performances for our music and theater programs!
After a number of collaborative conversations with our partners at Tampa General Hospital and USF Health, as well as district and school-based staff, we have jointly arrived at the decision to safely allow these indoor performances to resume.
The key word is safely.
Over the last few weeks, TGH/USF Health, Art teachers, and district staff have collectively updated our Co-Curricular Event Guidelines, which outlines best practices and public health guidance to allow musical and theater performances to take place indoors.
Highlights from the guidelines include:
- Indoor performances will be limited to 25% audience attendance;
- Audience members will be seated 6 feet apart unless they’re from the same family;
- Face coverings must be worn by each patron;
- No food or drink allowed in the auditorium;
- No intermissions permitted during performances;
- All performers will be temperature and symptom screened upon entry to theater;
- All performers must wear face coverings at all times (on stage and off stage).
These new guidelines will take effect immediately.
