Flu Shot Clinics

I am pleased to announce that due to our ongoing partnership with the Florida Department of Health – Hillsborough, we will be teaming up to provide flu shots to students, families and district staff.  Our plan is to host clinics at five schools located throughout our community during the month of December.

This is a great opportunity for you and your family to receive a vaccination. Flu season runs from October through May and the Centers for Disease Control says vaccinations are the best way to protect you from getting sick.   The Florida Department of Health – Hillsborough is offering this service with no out of pocket expenses to our families or staff. Your insurance may be billed if your policy will cover the shot. Students who elect to participate must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian in order to receive a flu shot.

Vaccinations will be provided by appointment only.  Following CDC guidelines, the clinics will be set up in a drive-through format and participants will be directed to stay in their vehicles.  Families can go to any of the locations on the dates and times listed below.

Thank you for continuing to encourage good preventative measures in our schools, like washing hands frequently, social distancing where possible and wearing face coverings. Our custodial teams and Safety Division are working hard to ensure all surfaces are frequently cleaned and disinfected. As you can imagine, we must continue to work collectively to maintain the health and well-being of our entire school community.
