Mission
The mission of HOSA is to empower HOSA-Future Health Professionals to become leaders in the global health community through education, collaboration, and experience.
Purpose
The purpose of HOSA-Future Health Professionals is to develop leadership and technical HOSA skill competencies through a program of motivation, awareness and recognition, which is an integral part of the Health Science Education instructional program
Our goals are to...
- Strengthen academic and technical skills
- Create friendships and social networks
- Expand communication and teamwork skills
- Build self-confidence, motivation and enthusiasm
- Participate in community service activities (some are student-led; 2019 – Anti-Vaping Campaign)
- Understand current healthcare issues
- Prepare for events
- Travel to regional and possibly state and national conference
Competitive Events
All HOSA Chapters in our district meet and compete against each other in events related to health professions. This will be hosted at Williams this year in January! Specific date TBD
District winners advance to attend the State Leadership Conference for 3 days in Orlando (April 13- 16, 2023)
State winners (event-dependent) advance to the International Leadership Conference in Dallas, TX (June 21-24 2023)
2021- 2022 Highlights
45 out of 72 HOSA members placed at the district Winter Leadership Conference to advance on to State Leadership Conference
30 out of 45 HOSA members placed at State Leadership Conference in Orlando to advance on to International Leadership Conference
International Leadership Conference: 10,654 competitors were in attendance from 54 different countries and US territories. Of the 26 Williams students who traveled to Nashville to compete in International Leadership Conference, 11 placed in the top 10; 6 placed in 3rd; and 1 student placed 1st in their respective competitive categories.
Who can join as a member of the Williams IB HOSA chapter?
HOSA is open to all Year 1 (6th), Year 2 (7th), and Year 3 (8th) students at Williams Middle Magnet IB
When are the HOSA meetings?
Thursday mornings from 7:20- 8:20 am in the Media Center
First Meeting: Thursday, September 8th
How do I join HOSA?

- Submit Club Fee: $120 per semester
- Paid to PTSA through MemberHUB: CLICK HERE to pay Club Fee
- Semester 1 due by September 14th
- Semester 2 due by January 19th
- Submit Registration Fee: $60 one-time fee
- Paid through MyPaymentsPlus: CLICK HERE to pay Registration Fee
- Due by September 14th
- Fee covers district, state, and national registration fees, HOSA t-shirt, and Winter Leadership Conference fee
