What is FBLA?
FBLA-Middle Level (FBLA-ML) introduces middle and junior high school students to the world of business through exploring careers and delving into business principles with real-world activities.
FBLA helps students to develop 21st century skills focused on leadership, problem solving, teamwork, goal setting, and creativity.
Our goals are to:
- Develop competent, aggressive business leadership.
- Strengthen the confidence of students in themselves and their work.
- Create more interest in and understanding of American business enterprise.
- Encourage members in the development of individual projects that contribute to the improvement of home, business, and community.
- Develop character, prepare for useful citizenship, and foster patriotism.
- Encourage and practice efficient money management.
- Encourage scholarship and promote school loyalty.
- Assist students in the establishment of occupational goals.
- Facilitate the transition from school to work.

Who Can Join as a Member of the Williams IB FBLA Chapter?
FBLA is open to all Year 1 (Grade 6), Year 2 (Grade 7) , and Year 3 (Grade 8) students at Williams IB Middle Magnet School.
How Do I Join?
Students must complete a new membership registration form and pay the non-refundable $150 membership dues and after-school club activity fees every school year.

Scholarship Information
Scholarships are available to students who receive free/reduced lunch ONLY and will cover the cost of the $150 Membership Dues & After-School Club Activity Fee .
- To apply please complete the scholarship application in SECTION 3 OF THE MEMBERSHIP REGISTRATION FORM by Friday, September 16th. (See the registration form link above.)
- Students and parent(s)/guardian(s) will be notified in Canvas if a scholarship has been awarded by September 23, 2022.
- If you need to complete the Hillsborough County Schools Meal Application to see if you qualify for free/reduced lunch, please click the link: https://www.hillsboroughschools.org/Page/3734
Students who are awarded a scholarship will be required to:
- Follow all membership requirements
- Participate in the LEAD Explore Award program
- Participate in chapter community service events
What are the Membership Requirements?
- Complete the membership application and pay $150 Membership Dues/Activity fees by the September 23rd deadline.
- Participate in District Competitive events January 17th – 20th and January 26th
- Participate in FBLA Week Activities Feb 5th – 11th
- Attend chapter meetings on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays from 3:30pm – 4:45pm
The first member meeting is Wednesday, September 28, 2022 - Wear the appropriate FBLA Dress Code for official events (See Dress Code Examples below in Important Links)
- Follow the Hillsborough County Student Code of Conduct and Williams IB Honor Code
When are the Meetings?
- The 2nd and 4th Wednesdays from 3:30pm – 4:45pm on campus
The first member meeting is Wednesday, September 28, 2022
Please Note: The meetings for the Induction Ceremony, Winter Social and FBLA Week Social may end at 5:00pm, but parent(s)/guardians will be notified ahead of time. - Exact meeting dates are posted in the CANVAS group for paid members.
Please Note: Our meetings are NOT at the same time as the MUN meetings. They meet on 1st & 3rd Wednesdays.
